They were staying up on the North Shore in the gorgeous Turtle Bay Hotel so we stayed right on this amazing property for the photos. If you want to get away from it all and get the real Hawaii vacation experience, Turtle Bay is the place to do it on Oahu! Tim was a goofball and kept Natasha (and me) smiling throughout the shoot. These guys both claimed that they don’t look good in pictures…I’m going to go ahead and say that I proved them wrong. What do you think?

Fion’s family lives in Asia while Christians family is from Europe. The couple actually live in Chicago but a Hawaii wedding seemed like the perfect fit for everybody!

A small and intimate wedding at Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu was just what this stunning pair was after. Fion looked absolutely radiant, tian looked every bit the handsome groom, a fantastic location and an absolutely gorgeous day made for beautiful pictures, of course.

I’m going to go ahead and say this was the best party I’ve been to all year. First off, Lori and her girls are all totally gorgeous. Plus, they all had the cutest T-shirts on that stated their place in the day, from Mother of the Bride to Maid of Honor to Flowergirl, and the absolute greatest – the Mrs. Anson on Lori’s booty, I had no trouble figuring out who everyone was with one glance. The boys were no less fun with their pre-wedding posing antics, personalized flasks and general festive behavior.

The ceremony took place in the Turtle Bay Pavilion, Beautifully decorated in orange and pink. Lot’s of smiles and tears through the ceremony followed by a whole bunch of making out once the formal part was done. This is a couple that is so happy and so truly in love that you can’t help but smile everytime you look at them. They were absolutely glowing!

The party really got going after some family photos. This is the first time I’ve been to a reception that took place out on the lawn and it makes for an incredible setting! Blue sky above, green grass below and waves crashing against the rocks just behind. They started the festivities with a fabulous luau performance by a group of dancers from the Polynesian Cultural Center. While dinner was served the happy couple and I snuck away to capture some photos with an incredible sunset. After an outpouring of love from family and friends continued toasts well past the expected time frame the DJ got things going. Strike that, the music came on and the guests turned into rock stars! These people were all party!

So a gorgeous and friendly crew of people, an adorable and totally in love couple, perfect location, perfect light and a rocking party, what more can a wedding photographer ask for? Thanks Lori and Jamie, for an awesome day that reminded me how much I truly love my job…
